Lung Cancer is primarily of two types

Small Cell and Non-Small Cell (NSCLC)

Non-small cell cancer (NSCLC) is more common and accounts for majority of the cases

Most cases of lung cancer are caused due to smoking, but non smokers can also get lung cancer.

Those individuals, whose close relatives (parents, brothers or sisters) have been diagnosed with lung cancer, are at a higher risk of developing lung cancer

Today, we have multiple options to treat and manage lung cancer- surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy.

The other, less common type of lung cancer is called small cell cancer (SCLC). It is rare, but deadly.
